Thailand woman who visited India to meet her child in Kerala was raped by 2 men

Rape is the fourth most common crime in India. The level of rape cases in the country is rising at an alarming rate. It is learnt that most of the rape cases were committed by someone known to the victim.

Not a long ago, the entire nation was shocked by the heinous rape and murder of the veterinary doctor in Hyderabad and after which, the 6-year-old girl was raped and strangled to death by her school belt in Rajasthan and then another shocking atrocity happened when a 9-year-old girl was raped and strangled to death. Then a Hyderabad-like rape and murder incident took place at Kumarganj, South Dinajpur in West Bengal.

In shocking news, a 46-year-old Thailand woman was raped in Kerala by two men. It has been learnt that the Thai national visited India in order to meet her child in Kerala but she was raped. The Kerala Police arrested two people on charges of raping the woman and based on her complaint, they were arrested.

The accused Mohammad Insaf and his friend Ansaruddin from Kondotty in Malappuram district have been detained by police. The police added that the woman had been a Facebook friend of Insaf for the last seven months. They stumbled upon each other after she enrolled her child in a school in the Malappuram district.

Thailand woman had come from Bangkok recently to visit her child and was staying in a hotel here, the police added. It was when Insaf along with his friend Ansaruddin had come to meet the woman and then they allegedly raped the woman at the hotel room, the police said.

The police also told the reporters that all formalities including medical examination of the woman have been completed.
