Coronavirus: China orders its citizen to give up meat, become Vegetarian

Everyone is aware of the fact that Coronavirus is spreading across China and the world quickly. By far, the virus has affected over 11,800 people and the global death toll has risen to at least 250.

Now, the Government of China has urged its people to give up non-veg because scientists believe that eating slaughtered animals’ flesh may be the cause of the disease. The virus is believed to have spread from animals to humans.

One research from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows that more than 75% of emerging diseases originate in animals. Experts believe that the dangerous virus might have originated in a market in Wuhan, China, where humans have direct contact with live animals and animal flesh. So far, many dangerous viruses have originated in animals such as the new coronavirus, SARS, bird flu, and more.

The World Health Organization declared the coronavirus outbreak a global health emergency. Coronavirus has become a major concern for China affecting thousands of people in the country. President Xi Jinping urged people to stop eating meat which is the main cause of deadly disease. He encouraged them to become vegetarian.

The virus is quickly spreading across the globe affecting thousands of people in China. Now, Chinese President Xi Jinping has asked Army personnel to control the spread of coronavirus that has killed 213 people in the country so far. Jinping’s call to the military comes at a time when the deadly virus is spreading from state to state and has infected thousands of people so far. Amid fears, China has imposed travel restrictions that have affected the movement of over 56 million people in over a dozen cities.

Several countries including India, Canada, the United States, and others have started evacuating their citizens from Wuhan, the epicentre of the deadly virus. India is already working on evacuating its citizens from China’s Wuhan.

According to the latest report, the first positive case of Novel Coronavirus patient has been reported in Kerala. The patient was a student of Wuhan University in China.

Where did Coronavirus come from?

SARS coronavirus (SARS-CoV) is believed to have come from bats that further spread to other animals. For the first time, coronavirus was identified in 2003. The virus affected over 8,000 people in 2003. But the virus was not taken seriously at that time and it kept on spreading gradually. Unfortunately, there was no vaccination or cure available to help patients recover the deadly disease. Now, the virus has spread across the globe, taking hundreds of lives.

Health experts think it may have originated in bats and then passed to humans, possibly via another animal species. According to WHO, It was winter 2003 when the virus came to be known and people who suffered from this disease complained of fever, chills, headache, and dry coughs. All symptoms occurred during the cold and flu season.

In the early stages, Coronavirus symptoms may include fever, malaise, myalgia, headache, diarrhoea, and shivering (rigors). People who get infected may have the disease but have few or no symptoms. Fever is believed to be the most frequently reported symptom.  Now the disease is spreading quickly to major cities like Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen as well as to neighboring countries including Japan, India, Taiwan, South Korea, and Thailand. Several countries including India are taking serious steps to tackle deadly coronavirus that originated in China’s Wuhan city.

Cities worldwide are at high-risk after the death toll from a new coronavirus has surpassed 250. Thousands of people have been infected by a new coronavirus in China triggering tensions around the world. As there are no vaccinations available to cure the disease, it is advisable to take certain precautions to prevent coronavirus. However, scientists are trying to create a vaccine for the new virus but the challenge is daunting.

Precautions that will help you avoid the Coronavirus:

You must not go to work If you have any symptoms.
