Roadies is a reality television show in which the contestants are selected by hosting auditions from all around the country. The show has given us some extremely successful artists in the entertainment industry like Ayushman Khurana, Rannvijay Singha to name a few. It has been an extremely successful show especially popular among the youth of the country.
Let’s catch up to what a few of the crowd favourites from the show are doing presently:
1. Rannvijay Singha:
When we talk of Roadies one of the first people who comes to mind is Rannvijay. He is undoubtedly one of the most popular contestants that have ever been on the show. He hailed as the winner of the first season of the show and since then the road has only gone upwards for him. After his victory he went on to become a VJ, he also hosted shows like ‘Splitsvilla’ and ‘Shark Tank’. He has also appeared in a number of television series as well as movies.
2. Ayushmann Khurrana:
Not many know that Ayushmann rose to fame after winning the second season of Roadies. There have been many interviews where he is seen saying that he still does not believe that he was a part of the Roadies journey and that he won it. Ayushmann has made his way into
being one of the most successful actors of his generation. Many of his movies are critically acclaimed and he is one of the highest-paid actors in India. Apart from acting, he is also an extremely good singer, writer, and also television host.
3. Ashutosh Kaushik:
Ashutosh won the fifth season of Roadies and post his victory he went on to be a part of many television shows like ‘Savdhaan India’, ‘Kitchen Champion’ to name a few. Currently, he works as a YouTuber and is quite successful on the platform. He also entered the second season of the Indian reality show ‘Bigg Boss’.
4. Vishal Karwal:
Vishal’s journey in Roadies was not a long one and was ousted pretty early in the season. He then went on to join another MTV series called ‘Splitsvilla’ where he emerged as the winner. It was from then on that he gained fame. He was also a part of the sixth season of ‘Bigg Boss’. After trying his luck in reality television shows he trudged towards acting and was a part of many shows namely ‘Bhagyavidhaata’, ‘Jamai Raja’, and such.
5. Priyank Sharma:
The chocolate boy Priyank Sharma was a part of ‘Roadies X4’ and following that he went on to do other reality shows such as ‘Splitsvilla’, ‘Bigg Boss 11’. For the time that he was on Bigg Boss, he was always in the limelight because of his closeness with another girl on the show following which his then-girlfriend Divya Sharma and he allegedly broke it off. He has gained quite the reputation of a womanizer.
6. Bani J:
Bani placed second in the fourth instalment of Roadies. After that, she became a part of the show as a VJ for many years till she quit to pursue acting. She is seen in the series Four
More Shots Please!’ which landed a nomination in the Emmys. She is also a big source of inspiration for girls who pursue fitness as she is seen sharing her workout routine with her followers who are quite active on her social media.
7. Prince Narula:
Prince very quickly rose to fame after he won Roadies X2. He also went on to do ‘Splitsvilla’. He gained a massive fan following and as a result, emerged as the winner of ‘Bigg Boss 9’ as well. He has been a part of various television series as well. Currently, he is a part of Roadies as a judge and gang leader.
8. Pooja Bannerjee:
Pooja was a part of the eighth season of Roadies. Even though she did not win the show she successfully launched an acting career once her journey on the show was over. She has been a part of television shows like ‘Ek Doosre Se Karte Hain Pyaar Hum’, ‘Swim Team’, ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ and such.
9. Varun Sood:
Varun Sood was a part of ‘Roadies X2’ and quickly became a fan favorite even though he did not win the show. He has been a part of other reality shows like ‘Splitsvilla’, ‘Ace of Space’ and ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’. He also returned to Roadies as a judge and gang leader.
10. Shaleen Malhotra:
After his journey on the third season of ‘Roadies’ came to an end he debuted as an actor and since then has been a part of many television series like ‘Koi Laut Ke Aya Hai’, ‘Laado 2’, ‘Mere Dad ki Dulhan’ and such.
11. Ayyaz Ahmed:
Ayyaz was a part of the fifth season of Roadies and soon after made his debut as an actor. He worked on many projects in television series and is most remembered for his role in the series ‘Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan’ which was well received by the audience and his fans.
12. Sahil Anand:
After his exit from the fourth season of ‘Roadies’ Sahil went on to become an actor is now widely known for his role in the movie ‘Student of the Year’. He has also been a part of a Voot series and entered the ‘Bigg Boss’ house in its tenth season as a celebrity contestant. He is also seen in the reprise of the television series ‘Kasautii Zindagi Ki’.
