As many as six people have been detained after two army jawans were ruthlessly beaten recently. The shocking incident took place in Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat. A video, which has gone viral on social media shows that two soldiers in ordinary clothes can be seen being thrashed by a group of people.
The news agency ANI uploaded the video, on Sunday, depicting a group moving downwards upon two jawans with stick and also can be seen abusing them and attacking them at the same time.
One solider whose name was reported as Amit can be seen giving it back but later he tried to escape but failed and was bashed by the angry mob.
The police added that thw two soldiers were having food at a restaurant in the afternoon in Baghpat and a small argument broke out between them and a person.
As the argument went from bad to worse, the restaurant staff also didn’t hesitate to involve and very soon the argument turned into a fight. The reason for the argument is still unknown.
“Two Army jawans were having lunch at a restaurant when they had an argument with a person, then the restaurant staff got involved and a fight broke out. Case registered and 7-8 restaurant employees have been arrested,” Ramnand Kushwaha, Circle Officer, was quoted as saying by ANI.
