UP: Crowd goes out of control as it sees Russian Dancer on Stage, police resort to Lathi Charge

A night event organized by the Mauranipur Municipality as part of the annual fair Jal Vihar Mahotsav in Uttar Pradesh’s Jhansi turned chaotic on Thursday night as the crowd went out of control. Russian dancers were included in this festival. Russian girls are famous for dancing. A large crowd gathered to see them. The police were forced to resort to Baton to control the crowd.

The program was inaugurated by State Government Minister Manohar Lal Panth. The event, an annual tradition, consistently attracts a significant crowd of attendees. According to online sources, the event was organized without prior permission from the police.

A large number of people had gathered to watch the dance performances. However, things took an unexpected turn when a group of young men started dancing near the stage. As their enthusiasm increased, the behavior of the crowd also became uncontrolled. According to sources, there was a commotion due to the gathering of a huge crowd, due to which the police had to take action. After which the police had to lathicharge. The uproar led to a stampede-like situation, due to which many people were injured.

After the incident, one of the injured youths was taken to the local community health center for treatment. Given the severity of his injuries, he was later referred to the medical college for specialized care. Dr. Ravindra, the medical officer overseeing the case, stressed the seriousness of the young man’s condition and the need for treatment in a high-level facility.

“The police have brought a patient. A water festival is going on here. The police had carried out a baton charge, and the patient got injured in it. The patient’s condition is not good. After initial treatment, he has been referred to Jhansi Medical. He has an injury near his eye,” said Dr. Ravi.”

The incident at the Jal Vihar Mahotsav in Jhansi during the annual fair was unfortunate, resulting in injuries and chaos due to the uncontrolled crowd.
