IIT alumnus Anirudh Devgan becomes CEO of ₹525000 Cr company, and his salary is breathtaking

Anirudh Devgan is an accomplished graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi, and a well-known computer scientist. Currently serving as CEO of the software behemoth Cadence Design Systems, with a market value of approximately INR 5,25,000 crore (64 billion dollars), is this man.

Devgan had the choice to leave his academic origins behind or pursue the business sector while growing up on the IIT campus where his father was a professor. After completing his education at Delhi Public School (DPS), he attended IIT Delhi to study electrical engineering. Devgan started his career at the prestigious IT firm IBM. Devgan spent 6 years at Magma Design Automation after more than a decade of employment in managerial and research roles at various IBM divisions.

Devgan joined Cadence in 2017 as the company’s president, and in 2021 he was elevated to the position of CEO and named to the board of directors.
