6 legend singers of India who died at an early age, check out the list

KK’s death left a tremendous wound in the hearts of all of his admirers. KK has made a significant impact on the music industry and this generation. According to reports, singer Krishnakumar Kunnath, also known as KK, died of a ‘myocardial infarction,’ also known as a heart attack, according to SSKM hospital’s preliminary report to the Kolkata Police.

After returning from a gig in Kolkata on Tuesday, May 31, the singer fainted at the Grand Hotel, which is located near the New Market police station, and was brought to a private hospital in the city, where he was pronounced dead at the age of 53.

This is not the first time that an artist has passed away at such a young age. It all started when popular singer Kundan Lal Sehgal died at the early age of 42 on 18th January 1947. He was not only doing well in the music industry but also started his acting career simultaneously. However, his alcoholism seized control of his life and ultimately led to his death.

Shockingly, three more artists who admired Sehgal- Mohammed Rafi, Kishore Kumar, and Mukesh Ji also met with death at an early age. Mukesh Chandra Ji passed away at 53 in Detroit, Michigan during an American music tour. Post-concert he felt a mild pain in his chest and was rushed to the hospital. sadly he couldn’t be saved.

Mummamed Rafi’s songs ranged from quick peppy numbers to patriotic songs, melancholy numbers to extremely romantic songs, qawwalis to ghazals, and bhajans to classical songs, and he was known for his versatility and range of voice. He was noted for his ability to match his voice to the actor’s attitude and manner while lip-syncing the song in the movie. Mohammed Rafi died on July 31, 1980, following a massive heart attack, aged 55.

Kishore Kumar is widely considered to be one of the best and most energetic vocalists in Indian music history. He was a well-known singer in India’s film business, known for his yodeling and ability to sing songs in a variety of voices. Kumar sang in a variety of styles, but some of his uncommon songs, which are now regarded classics, have been lost to time. He too passed away at the age of 58, he died of a heart attack in Mumbai. 

Mukesh is regarded as one of the most well-known and appreciated playback singers in Hindi cinema. Among his many nominations and wins, he won the National Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer for his song “Kai Baar Yuhi Dekha Hai” in the film Rajnigandha (1973). Mukesh died of a heart attack on 27 August 1976 in Detroit, Michigan USA, where he had gone to perform in a concert.

Very recently, we also witnessed the untimely death of Sidhu Moosewala, one of the best Punjabi singer and rapper ofthis generation. Sadly, he was shot by Lawrence Bishnoi and his gang while he was on his way to his aunt’s place. When he was taken to hospital by his father, he was already pronounced dead.
