Mother throws her 5 children into river as there is no food during lockdown

In a heartbreaking incident on Sunday, a woman mercilessly threw her five children into the Ganga river in Jeghangirabad in Uttar Pradesh”s Bhadohi district because there is no food during the lockdown.

As soon as the police were notified about the incident, the senior police officials reached the spot immediately and divers were pressed into effect in an attempt to locate the children.

The woman has been arrested. As per the sources, the woman had earlier said that she and her children were not getting enough food in the lockdown and source of income had also stopped because she was a daily wage worker.

“Our priority is to rescue the children as soon as possible, We will carry out other investigations later,” said a police official as per news agency IANS.
