Coronavirus: 1 more coronavirus case found in Delhi, Now total no. of confirmed cases increased to 31

In shocking news, one more coronavirus case has been confirmed in the national capital, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 31. A Delhi resident of Uttam Nagar has been tested positive for the novel coronavirus today.

The patient is said to have a history of traveling to Thailand and Malaysia. “One suspected COVID19 case has been confirmed as positive. The patient is from Delhi. He has a travel history to Thailand and Malaysia. He is stable and being monitored. The total number of confirmed cases in India now stands at 31,” a health ministry official said.

The patient has been kept under medical observation in an isolation ward. By far, the deadly coronavirus has spread in many parts of India including Delhi, Agra, Bihar, Jaipur bringing the total number of people who have been infected to 31.

Doctors, on the other hand, admitted that there is no treatment or vaccine available yet, but authorities are trying their best to bring the epidemic disease under control by isolating people who have been infected with the virus.

Earlier, a group of Italian tourists including an Indian driver were tested positive for coronavirus on Wednesday, after which they were kept under quarantine at New Delhi hospital. 

The coronavirus, a deadly disease has claimed more than 3,200 lives and infected more than 95,000 worldwide. It has wreaked havoc on the international calendar of various sporting events across the world. It has also put the upcoming Tokyo Olympics 2020 under doubt.

A man, who hails from Raipur, has also shown coronavirus symptoms, according to a PTI report. He is said to have returned to India from Kenya through Dubai. However, he has been put under home quarantine.

The coronavirus grabbed the headlines in India after a Kerala student was tested positive for the deadly virus. Later, two more students showed coronavirus symptoms and were also tested positive for COVID-19. After this, the Kerala government declared a state-wide emergency. It should be noted that all three patients in Kerala are students who returned from China’s Wuhan city. However, all three students have recovered. 

The government has urged its citizens to avoid gathering and Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, on the other hand, have urged people not to participate in ‘Holi milan’ celebration this year in the wake of the Coronavirus outbreak.
