Life story of Bihar’s hero SP Manu Maharaj, who leads all operations against Naxals from front

Police play a major role in society by keeping citizens safe 24 hours a day and seven days a week. The job of a police officer is very risky as they are required to be alert 24 hours in order to avoid any kind of incident in the society. The role of the police is to maintain law and order and ensure peace in the society. Their responsibility is to reduce crime and arrest criminals.

Today, we are going to talk about such a police officer who is a nightmare for criminals. Yes, we are talking about IPS Manu Maharaj who is from Patna, Bihar. Manu believes in “Kaam zyada, baatein kum— more work, talk less”. He made a significant contribution to society by reducing crime.

IPS Maharaj has always been in the news for his Singham style and mustache. He is not afraid of anything. Criminals have to think twice before committing any crime. He himself leads the team and ensures a successful mission.

Manu was born on 20 October 1974 in a brahmin family. He hails from Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. He did his schooling from Shimla. He did B.tech from IIT Roorkee in his graduation and completed his MA. He decided to prepare for civil services during his MA. He grew up in a very poor family. He sweated out to become an IPS. to prepare for civil services, Manu required money to fulfill his goals. Understanding the family situation, he managed to prepare for the exam. His parents struggled day in day out to help their son prepare for the civil exam.

Manu cleared UPSC civil service and secured a good rank. He was able to become IAS due to his good rank in the UPSC exam but he chose IPS post because he always wanted to serve the country as an IPS officer. While speaking to media, He said, “I had a dream to become a police officer and now I am very happy that my dream has come true”

Once a car was stolen from the police station where IPS Manu was stationed. Interesting thing is that the car was stolen by IPS Manu Maharaj, not by someone else. He stole the car just because he wanted to check whether the police fulfill their duty in the right way or not.

It is said that IPS Maharaj is appointed wherever the law and order are violated in Bihar. Wherever he was transferred, he ensured minimum crime and put many criminals behind the bar.

Let me tell you an incident when two sons of a Delhi-based businessman were kidnapped by Naxalites for extortion. The abducted duo was identified as Suresh Kumar and Kapil Sharma. A special investigation team was formed soon. The team, led by IPS Maharaj, conducted a raid around 5’o clock in the morning in a village under the Kajara Pahadi Police Station in Lakhisarai district. After which the brothers were freed from the captivity.

The police also arrested five people connected to the crime. Arms and ammunition, food items, and drugs were recovered from them. Both brothers thanked IPS Manu Maharaj for rescuing them from the clutches of the kidnappers.
