Indian pacer Shami is currently in New Zealand where five matches of the bilateral T20I series were played between India and New Zealand and the series ended 5-0. India has created history by winning all five matches of the series and this is also the first time that India have won a T20I series in New Zealand. With this, India became the first-ever team in men’s T20I cricket history to sweep series 5-0.
Shami played a crucial role in the third T20I match against New Zealand when New Zealand needed nine off the last over. Skipper Virat Kohli showed faith in Mohammed Shami and Shami bowled a brilliant final over to tie the game. After which super over was played between the two teams. In the Super Over, Rohit Sharma smashed two sixes of last two balls, helping India win the series with 3-0.
