This is what locals of Delhi have to say on Jamia Islamia Students violent protests

Speaking on Jamia Islamia Students’ violent protests, locals of Delhi said, anti-citizenship law protesters clashed with police, leaving dozens of people and several cops injured. Students of Jamia Millia Islamia staged a protest against the amended Citizenship Act.  The demonstration was held on the University campus. Several cops were injured in the protest when police reached there to restore law and order in the area. The protesters pelted stones at the cops and burnt down public buses and police vehicles.

Aam Aadmi Party is imposing false allegations on Delhi police. The party is blaming the Delhi police for the violence. But the fact is that protesting students abused Prime Minister Modi and Delhi police and raised slogans of “Islam Rahe ga”. Protesters were carrying ‘I am Babri wala’ posters, locals of Delhi said.

As per the locals of Delhi, protesters were pelting stones at parked cars and moving buses and damaging property. They also torched bikes and buses. They said that the CAB has nothing to do with Indian citizens or Muslims. Citing an example of West Bengal, they said that West Bengal is burning in protest. Trains were set ablaze and railway tracks blocked. Locals of Delhi blamed the CM Mamata Banerjee for organizing a rally against CAA. Instead of curbing the situation, Banerjee said, “She will not allow CAB to be implemented in Bengal”

A massive crowd of protesters marched and raised slogans of ‘Hinduon se Azadi’ and ‘Chheen ke lengey Azadi’ and ‘Ladh ke lengey Azadi’. The slogans translate to ‘Freedom from Hindus’, ‘We will fight for freedom’.

The locals said that if you do not like any act passed by parliament, you can file a petition in court, but damaging government properties, burning busses and pelting stones on police is unconstitutional. They cited an example of DCW chief Swati Maliwal, who has been protesting against rape incidents in the country and she has been on an indefinite hunger strike for 13 days. But she is protesting in a peaceful manner and she is not provoking anyone to set buses on fire and pelt stones at police. The police are also providing her protection.

Locals of Delhi welcomed the Citizenship Amendment Bill and said that Article 370 has been abrogated, Triple Talaq bill has been passed, and Ram Mandir issue has also been solved, so now the opposition party has nothing but to provoke Muslims to protest against the bill.

People of Delhi further said, “The percentage of Hindu in Pakistan was 23% during the partition of India in 1947, but now the percentage of Hindus in Pakistan has decreased to 2%. The percentage of Hindu in Bangladesh has also decreased to 8% from 20%,”
