100-yr-old Chandni Chowk temple intentionally damaged by mob

In shocking news that disturbed the moods of the Hindus across the nation, a 100-year-old Chandni Chowk temple has been deliberately damaged by an angry mob in Delhi around 10 pm on Sunday.

A fight broke out between two groups belonging to different communities reportedly over a ‘parking issue’ and things had gone from bad to worse as they ended up vandalising the 100-year-old Durga temple, which is not good by any means.

A certain section of people belonging to the community protested against the vandalism were reportedly pelted with stones by a mob from other community.

The protest was carried on till Monday morning. “We’re trying to identify miscreants who tried to harm communal peace,” police said in a statement.

“After some altercation &scuffle over a parking issue in Hauz Qazi, tension arose b/w two groups of people from different communities. We have taken legal action & all efforts are being made to pacify feelings &bring about amity. People are requested to help in restoring normalcy,” DCP Central Delhi tweeted.
