Gambhir has two Voter IDs says AAP, files criminal complaint against him

A couple of days ago, Gautam Gambhir declared his overall assets and he was known to be the richest ever Lok Sabha candidate in Delhi. Everything was going fine for him until he faced criminal complaint of having two voter IDs.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday launched a scathing attack at East Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Gautam Gambhir by claiming that his name appears twice in electoral rolls and has also filed a criminal complaint against him in ‘Tis Hazari Court’ regarding this issue.

The AAP East Delhi candidate named Atishi Marlena, said it is a criminal thing and had also called for his “immediate disqualification”.

“We have filed a criminal complaint in Tis Hazari Court against Gambhir,” Atishi stressed.

Atishi also alleged that Gautam Gambhir has two voter IDs of Rajendra Nagar and Karol Bagh, and he faces upto 1 year in jail for this serious offence.

However, no immediate reaction was available from the cricketer-turned-politician Gautam Gambhir.

“My appeal to the citizens of East Delhi Lok Sabha – pls don’t waste your vote by voting for @GautamGambhir; he is going to get disqualified sooner or later for having two Voter ID cards! अपना वोट व्यर्थ ना करें! #GambhirApradh,” she wrote on Twitter.
