Proud moment: Indian sprinter sets a new record- let’s share his story

It is indeed a proud moment for India as the country’s sprinter made the entire nation proud by surpassing his previous own 400m national record at the Cena Noveho Mesta nad Metuji event on Saturday in Prague, Czech Republic.

The 23-year-old sprinter, identified as, Muhammad Anas, came through with flying colours when he clinched the gold after he clocked at 45.24 seconds in the tournament to break his own record of 45.31 seconds which he had set during Common Wealth Games 2018 at Gold Coast, Queensland.

The Athletics Federation of India (AFI) President, Adille J. Sumariwalla congratulated him for achieving the milestone as he set a new Indian record, that is one to remember, relish and rejoice.

Sumariwalla took to his official Twitter handle to say, “Well done Mohd Anas @muhammedanasyah & Team India led by Olympic Medalist & Coach Ms Galina Bukharina, D. Coach Basant Singh & Physio’s, Masseur ’s etc. Thank U DG SAI @NeelamKapur & Gov of India @Ra_THORe for your support to AFI & clearing d team for training & competition in Europe.”
