After PM Modi accepts challenge of Kohli, Rahul Gandhi throws another challenge

Indian captain and run-machine Virat Kohli is a fitness freak without the shadow of a doubt. He recently tagged three people featuring PM Narendra Modi, his teammate Mahendra Singh Dhoni and his beloved wife Anushka Sharma for the fitness challenge. However, PM Modi was the first to react to the challenge by coming up with an interesting tweet.

PM Modi had accepted the challenge thrown by Virat Kohli and said that he will soon post his fitness video soon. His caption read, “Challenge accepted, Virat! I will be sharing my own #FitnessChallenge video soon. @imVkohli #HumFitTohIndiaFit”.

The fitness challenge was actually started by the Sports Minister, Rajyavardhan Rathore who is one of India’s first individual Olympic medallists. He had recently shared a video of himself on social media doing pushups and had urged people to take a video of their “fitness mantra” and share it in order to highlight the virtual importance of fitness. Rathore had tagged Indian captain Virat Kohli, Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan and badminton star Saina Nehwal to follow the lead.

Virat Kohli who was a chubby boy in his childhood is now a fitness icon. According to him, getting fit improves confidence levels. Accepting the challenge thrown by Rathore, Kohli tweeted, “I have accepted the #FitnessChallenge by @ra_THORe sir. Now I would like to challenge my wife @AnushkaSharma, our PM @narendramodi ji and @msdhoni Bhai for the same. #HumFitTohIndiaFit #ComeOutAndPlay”

PM Modi accepted the challenge and said that he will come up with his own fitness challenge video soon.

PM Modi had initiated the Fit India movement through his Mann Ki Baat programme. Since then he has been giving a valuable piece of advice to the people to focus on fitness and urged them to participate on the same.

After when PM Modi accepted the challenge, President of the Indian National Congress, Rahul Gandhi came up with a tweet telling that, “Dear PM, Glad to see you accept the @imVkohli fitness challenge. Here’s one from me: Reduce Fuel prices or the Congress will do a nationwide agitation and force you to do so. I look forward to your response. #FuelChallenge.”
