American guy starts Desi restaurant in India, becomes instant millionaire

India, where the taste of food comes from its own soil, is perfect as a niche business area for elite cuisine. The taste of food here, especially Desi, touches people’s hearts and provides a unique healing experience. To make the delicious taste of this lovely kitchen more pleasant and tasty, American citizen Bert Mueller started his story. Today he has become a millionaire by starting a Mexican dish business in India.

Bert Mueller is from the US. He came to India in 2010 as part of a study abroad program and lived with an Indian family in Jaipur for six months. He fell in love with this country and decided to start a company here. He realized that there are a lot of burger pizza and fried chicken places in India, but almost no Mexican restaurants. And so he decided to start his own business called California Burrito.

This American sells Mexican burritos in India and is now a millionaire. Their first location was in a tech park in Bengaluru and it received an overwhelming response. He realized that IT workers have disposable income and also like to try new things, even if some of them try eating a burrito with a fork. Today, his burrito empire has over 50 locations across Bengaluru NCR, Hyderabad, and Chennai generating a remarkable revenue of Rs 110+ crore annually. Burt likes Chennai very much.

Burt’s restaurant became a big hit among the people within no time. Mueller and Draper spent the first six months serving burritos themselves behind the counter. People not only get delicious food in their restaurants, but the atmosphere there is also very intimate and comfortable.

Burrito is a dish in Mexican and Tex-Mex cuisine, originating in Ciudad Juárez, consisting of a flour tortilla wrapped in a sealed cylindrical shape around various ingredients. The tortilla is sometimes lightly grilled or steamed to soften it, make it more pliable, and allow it to stick to itself.
