The entire nation is finding it really hard to believe that the extremely talented actor Sushant Singh Rajput left all of us. He was only 34 years old and still had plenty more things to achieve or fulfil in his life and now we lost such a gem of a person and it is heartbreaking to all of us that we won’t be able to see him anymore.

His rise to fame is obvious with the kind of blockbuster movies he delivered. The star could have easily ruled Bollywood but took the decision of ending his life by hanging from the ceiling of his apartment in Bandra.

His death by suicide was because he was going through mental bouts of depression. Though the reason was still unclear, the whole nation has been indicting nepotism for the death of this extremely talented actor.

Died at an early age of 34, Sushant Singh Rajput left behind assets worth of crores. Sushant’s last rites were carried out in Mumbai. But the debate on nepotism started after Sushant’s demise.

There were reports according to which the Bollywood star was banned by some big production houses including producers such as Karan Johar, Aditya Chopra, Salman Khan, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, etc. Some video clips of old videos are also going viral on social media platforms in which A-listers or the star kids are seen making fun of Sushant during a talk show or at other events.

Aashiqui 2– 2013

Mukesh Bhatt echoed that Sushant Singh Rajput was curious in working with the Bhatt’s and he had also auditioned for Aashiqui 2. He was almost finalised but then things didn’t turn out well and was finally replaced by Aditya Roy Kapur.

Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela– 2013

Sushant Singh Rajput was the clear-cut first choice of the ace director Sanjay Leela Bhansali for his movie Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela but owing to Sushant’s tie-up with YashRaj Films, he was unable to sign Bhansali’s. Later, Ranveer Singh was offered the role.

Bajirao Mastani– 2015

Sushant Singh who had shown tremendous support for Sanjay Leela Bhansali after the attack in Jaipur on location for Padmavati, was Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s first choice for the movie – Bajirao Mastani. However, at that time, the young actor was preparing for Shekhar Kapoor’s Paani.

As Sushant was more into Paani, he sported a different look and was going through intense workshops with Shekhar and Aditya Chopra, who was at that time was mentoring both Sushant Singh and Ranveer Singh.

Sushant had then expressed his inability to do Bajirao Mastani. It was when Ranveer came in. At last, Shekhar Kapoor’s Paani never got made and Sushant lost both Bajirao Mastani and Paani.

Fitoor– 2016

Fitoor was initially offered to Sushant Singh Rajput. Abhishek Kapoor, who is the director of one of the most underrated movies Fitoor, had worked with Sushant Singh Rajput’s dream launch Kai Po Che. Needless to say, Sushant let go of the movie because of his hectic schedule and eventually, the role was offered to Aditya Roy Kapoor.

Befikre- 2016

Sushant Singh and Vani Kapoor shared the screen in Shudh Desi Romance which was directed under the banner of YashRaj Films, with the film Befikre and Aditya Chopra wanted to recreate the same feel to the fans. Aditya also wanted to see this jodi again on the big screen. Later, he decided to cast Ranveer Singh to play the role of Dharam in the movie.

Half Girlfriend– 2017

Sushant Singh left the movie as the dates of Half-Girlfriend were clashing with that of his new film produced by Dinesh Vijan and that Sushant said “yes” for Vijan’s movie much before. Later on, Arjun Kapoor had filled the shoes of Sushant Singh.

Romeo Akbar Walter– 2019

Earlier, there were several reports and speculations that Sushant Singh Rajput was to play the lead role in Romeo Akbar Walter. Director Ajay Kapoor also said that the dates Sushant had given were clashing with another film. Later, actor John Abraham was finalised for the role.

Sadak 2– Not released yet

Once again Sushant Singh got the chance to colloborate with Bhatt’s and Mukesh Bhatt disclosed that during the casting of Sadak 2, Sushant Singh was the first choice but again due to some unknown problems, he was replaced once again by Aditya Roy Kapoor in the movie.

Saare Jahan Se Achha– Not released yet

Saare Jahan Se Accha is actually supposed to be the biopic of country’s first man on the moon and astronaut Rakesh Sharma. Some big Bollywood stars were also approached to play the lead role in the movie.

These names include the likes of Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Sushant Singh Rajput and later Vicky Kaushal was eventually finalized who also opted out. If reports doing the rounds are to be believed, Salman Khan has been approached to play the leading man now.

In case you didn’t know, petition was created to Boycott Salman Khan, YRF & Karan Johar after Sushant Singh’s death by suicide

Social media users are very angry with the big celebrities of the industry. In fact, many are demanding that movies of Karan Johar, Salman Khan, Bhansali, YRF, etc. should be boycotted to teach them a lesson.

A campaign has been started on change.org in which people have to sign a petition for boycotting the films of KJO, SKF and YRF.

Previously, the target of 3 lakh signatures was kept and later it was increased to 5 lakhs and then to 10 lakh. But now, the count of signatures has crossed 10 lakh and the target has been renewed at 15 lakh.

The petition was created by a woman identified as Jay Shree Sarma Srikanth who is a Bollywood choreographer, Artistic director and an RJ by profession.

She is from Kenya but lives in Princeton, New Jersey. The count of signatures is increasing at a faster pace as more than 12.50 lakh people signed the petition in just 32 hours. For the unversed, the petition was started at 6:47 am on 16th June.

Jay Shree also took to Facebook and asked her friends and followers to sign the petition and get 2 Million signatures so that type of incidents are not repeated again in future.

Besides this, people of Patna from where Sushant Singh Rajput belonged have burnt effigies of bigwigs – Karan Johar and Salman Khan. In fact, they have also taken a pledge that they would not allow their movies release in the city.
