We often forget doctors who work day in day out for the well being of society. They know the value of time and work tirelessly to help patients. With sheer grit, dedication and determination, they have set a perfect example for the present and future generations. There is a famous saying that “Doctor is the second form of God”.

In shocking news, an Iranian doctor lost her life while treating coronavirus patients. The doctor has been identified as Dr. Shirin Rouhani, who was continuously treating patients suffering from COVID 19 despite a shortage of doctors and medical staff.

The entire world is in a state of shock after the novel coronavirus pandemic impacted lakhs of people’s lives. By far, the virus has affected around 4 lakh people globally and the global death toll has risen to at least 17,000. Thankfully, around 1 lakh people have recovered from the deadly outbreak.

COVID-19 has created an atmosphere of fear in the world. The World Health Organisation (WHO) has declared the novel coronavirus or COVID-19 outbreak as a ‘pandemic’.

Meanwhile, Dr Shirin Rouhani, who was tirelessly helping coronavirus patients, died during the treatment. She herself was on IV while treating patients. It has been learnt that Dr. Rouhani was a physician and general practitioner of Shohada Hospital in Iran, and she lost her life to coronavirus. Later she was shifted to other hospitals. She dedicated her life to serving her country’s people who were fighting against the deadly coronavirus.

She did not stop treating patients despite knowing the fact that there is no vaccination or cure available now to help patients recover the deadly disease. Iran has witnessed thousands of coronavirus cases in recent times. Iran is almost under complete lockdown in order to contain the spread of COVID 19. Coronavirus has put the entire world at risk. We must salute Dr. Rouhani who sacrificed her life for saving others. She did her best to save several patients without caring about her life. Hats off to her!

China which has witnessed more than 3000 deaths to the Covid-19 outbreak is now seeing a slow down in the number of cases being reported. For days now, China has not recorded even a single domestic case.

Unfortunately, for now, there is no vaccination or cure available to help patients recover the deadly disease. So it is advised to take all possible precautions. People should avoid the area where coronavirus infection has been reported. Make sure that you keep yourself away from those who have coronavirus symptoms.
