This Kashmiri girl will represent India at Asia Wheelchair Basketball C’ship

As the situation in Kashmir remains bad, a brave wheelchair basketball player by the name of Ishrat Akhtar from the valley is showing her unshakeable spirit as she is geared up to represent India at the Asia-Oceania Wheelchair Basketball Championship.

Akhtar will also be aiming for the upcoming Tokyo 2020 Para-Olympics. It is also good to know that the Ministry will provide all support for her and the team.

“Talented Miss Ishrat Akhtar from Baramulla in Kashmir Valley has been selected to represent India at the Asia-Oceania Wheelchair Basketball Championship & will also attempt for the @Tokyo2020 Para-Olympics.

The Ministry will provide all necessary supports for her and the team,” Rijiju tweeted.

A magnificent opportunity from the brave girl from the valley. Ishrat’s grit, determination, handwork and passion is making it possible to fulfil her dreams.
