Brave CRPF Jawan cremated with full state honours in Rajasthan

In the 180th battalion of (Central Reserve Police Force) CRPF, General duty officer Mahesh Kumar Meena was involved in the joint operation which was instigated on 5th of January in an attempt to trace the hidden terrorists in the village Aripal in Talal in Pulwama district of Kashmir.

Sepoy Mahesh Kumar Meena was determined and active in the contingent reacting to the firing of terrorists during the operation. During that time, he, unfortunately, received bullets in his shoulder and neck.

The CRPF spokesperson said that the injured General cop Mahesh was rushed to the Base Hospital, where he underwent surgery for around four hours and following that, he was taken to AIIMS Trauma Center in Delhi by airlifted for better treatment.

The brave soldier passed away while undergoing treatment for the past nine days. His body was carried to Lapuwa village in Sri Madhopur area on Wednesday. According to the reports, a 9 km funeral procession was taken out from Reengus to Khatu. His 14-year-old son, identified as Harshit, lit the funeral pyre.

The mortal remains of assassinated CRPF jawan Mahesh Meena were consigned to the flames with full state honours at his native village in Rajasthan’s Sikar district on Wednesday.
