Modi govt launched India’s fastest Train 18, People threw stones and broke its glasses

Train 18, nation’s fastest train is all set to light up the tracks on December 29 from Varanasi. Even before it can be flagged off, the train ran through a massive damage because a person broke its glass by pelting a stone at the train’s window.

A Twitter user shared this shocking incident and said “Train 18 running at 180 km/h bet Delhi and Agra at this time…Srinivas, the Chief Design Engineer of ICF is in the cab, they touched 181 km/h for record sake…some vandal threw a stone breaking a glass, hope we nab him.”

India’s first engineless train will soon replace Shatabdi trains and will operate between Delhi and Varanasi. Train 18, manufactured by ICF Chennai at a staggering cost of Rs 100 crore, recently became India’s fastest train by clocking speeds of over 180 kmph during trial-run on a section of the Delhi-Rajdhani route. The commuters will enjoy a realistic bullet train-like experience.
