After badly losing in Amethi, Smriti Irani speaks to media

Recently, the results of the Lok Sabha elections were announced in which many politicians faced a major defeat. One of them was Smriti Irani, who was contesting from the Amethi Lok Sabha seat and losing to Congress by about 1.6 lakh votes. After the huge defeat in the elections, Smriti Irani spoke to the media for the first time while giving her reaction.

In the video, Smriti Irani expresses her gratitude to all her supporters and all the workers, who served the area and the party with full hard work and loyalty. Irani further talks about the struggle of 2 generations of Amethi and says, ‘On this platform, there is a generation in BJP who started the struggle in Amethi in the 1970s and there is a generation that won and loose from 2014 to 2024 and today is again standing at the crossroads of struggle.

Further in the video, she says, ‘I had the privilege of fulfilling the demands of the 30-year-old Lok Sabha constituency, from drains, Roads to colleges in every village. Today I express my gratitude to Narendra Modi and Yogi Adityanath Ji that in a short span of 5 years, the Modi Yogi Government has completed the work of 30 years. I congratulate those who won the elections. I hope that with the same devotion, we went to villages and served the people and Amethi will continue to be served in the same way every day.

Today with me are scholars Tejwan Singh, and Ram Prasad Ji who raised the flag of struggle in the 1970s. Today our generation pays its gratitude to such senior workers and leaders. We will strengthen the organization and at the organizational post, as Atal Ji used to say, ‘Neither in defeat nor in victory, nor fear, whatever we get at the post of struggle, this is also right, that is also right.’ She said.

Even after Irani’s defeat in Amethi, it became clear from her encouraging speech that she would continue her service to the people and is committed to solving their problems.
