Viral video claims such birds exist in Antarctica, here is fact check

Nowadays, society is engaged in diverse discussions concerning the phenomenon of videos gaining widespread popularity on social media and the internet. Recent online reports suggest the emergence of a video alleging the presence of opium birds in Antarctica. To assess the integrity of this claim, we will examine the information from a factual standpoint to determine whether it is true or merely a rumour.

According to online sources, pictures of a Bigfoot-like creature called the opossum bird have recently gone viral on TikTok, leaving users confused about its existence. The first video, uploaded by @drevfx on September 12, consisted of several still images of the viral creature facing the camera. It received over 1.1 million views.

Dre referred to it as a “bird-like creature” in the caption, explaining that it was discovered in a mountain range in Antarctica. Although a special hashtag ‘#aiart’ was added to the video, viewers were immediately confused, leading some to wonder if such a creature existed in Antarctica.

However, it should be noted that there is no scientific evidence for the existence of opossum birds. The bird shown in the video may be a fake or may have undergone some editing. Even user @drevfx consistently used the hashtag #aiart on all clips to clarify that these images were AI-generated and not real.

The bird-like entity, towering at roughly double the stature of an average human, features an imposing visage with its lengthy and dense white plumage, five elongated fingers tipped with razor-sharp claws, and a prolonged beak. This unnerved numerous spectators who viewed Dre’s video.

After examining this fact, we conclude that there is no verification of the opossum bird in Antarctica. This could be a viral rumour so don’t believe it and check the authenticity beforehand. These types of rumours not only confuse society but can also mislead a person with wrong information.

Dre’s video went viral on various social media platforms like YouTube, and various other channels reposted it, referring to the trending bird as a meme for the year 2027. The reason behind netizens choosing this specific year remains unclear, suggesting that it might be a random selection symbolizing the future.
