Emotional Wife kills self on Karwa Chauth, writes suicide Note to 3yo son

Karwa Chauth is celebrated across the country by wives who pray for a long and prosperous life for their husbands. On the occasion wives observe a fast without taking a grain of food or water from sunrise to moonrise for their better halves. The occasion is celebrated with the full energy and passion, and it indeed brings prosperity to their family.

But this year, the city of Khandwa (MP) was rocked by saddening news of a wife committing suicide over her husband who died in an accident two months ago. The woman committed suicide on Wednesday when everyone was busy shopping for Karwa Chauth.

“Beta Divyam, don’t ever feel alone. Live happily with your grandparents. I love you so much but your father was world to me. So I am going to be with him. I cannot live without him,” she wrote in her long emotional suicide note

The woman is identified as Jyoti Panwar of Khandwa (MP). Her husband Gajanan Panwar was a school teacher who constantly motivated her for further education. They were married for four years.

Exactly two months ago, wife Jyoti was returning from an exam centre on a motorcycle with her husband and kids- when a speeding truck ran over them. Wife and a child survived while the other two succumbed to injuries.

Jyoti fell unconscious from the horror and shock after her husband Gajanan and her younger child died in front of wide open eyes. The locals saw 3-year-old Divyam bleeding and crying beside the dead body of the father and they came over to help. A video of the incident has also gone viral on social media.

Jyoti was rushed to a nearby hospital and later she was taken to various other hospitals for treatment in Indore. Even after recovering fully from their injuries, she did not talk to anyone. She was unable to get over the shock.
