Finally, Sachin Tendulkar breaks his silence on Arshdeep Singh, catch details

India’s fast bowler Arshdeep Singh was on the receiving end of trolls and abuses after he dropped a sitter during the Super 4 stage fixture against the Pakistan cricket team.

It was an easy catch but the youngster made a mess of it by dropping a sitter. Since then, fans have been targeting him online whenever he starts for Team India in playing XI.

He recently bowled in the second T20I against South Africa where he conceded 62 runs at an expensive economy rate of 15.50, which is the highest by a fast bowler in the shortest format of the game.

Fans launched a scathing attack on Arshdeep Singh for his bowling. Meanwhile, legendary Sachin Tendulkar took to his Twitter handle and broke his silence on Arshdeep Singh.

He wrote, “Every athlete representing the country gives their best and plays for the nation always. They need our constant support and remember that in sports, you win some and you lose some. Let’s keep cricket and any other sport free from personal attacks.”

The Master Blaster further added, “@arshdeepsinghh keep working hard and give the best reply by performing on the field. I am keenly following you. My best wishes.”

Meanwhile, Team India beat Proteas by 16 runs and won the series by 2-0. KL Rahul was named the man of the match for his batting performance in the second T20I against Proteas. After receiving the man of the match award, he said, “It is important as an opener to understand what is required on a day and give it your best. It is the mindset I have always played in and will continue to do the same. Satisfying to test yourself in different conditions.

“Quite honestly, after the first two overs, the chat between me and Rohit was that the pitch was gripping. We thought 180-185 would be a good target. But the game surprises us. I am surprised I am getting the Man of the Match award, Surya should have gotten it. He changed the game. Having batted in the middle order, I have realized that it is difficult.

“DK doesn’t always get too many balls to face, and he was phenomenal, and so were Surya and Virat. The back foot punch off the first ball set me up. When I play both sides of the wicket, I know my balance is good. It tells me my head is stable. The crowds always turn up in India. It has been a while since cricket has been played in full stadiums. Phenomenal to see,” he said.
