He started smoking for a movie and also got addicted to it for many years. When he started dubbing for his movie Nenu Raja Nenu Mantiri, he found it really challenging and after which, he consulted the doctor for a solution for a better voice. The doctor recommended him to quit smoking and the actor quit the habit ever since.

4. Mahesh Babu

Mahesh Babu is the most attractive hero in the Telugu cinema industry. The Telugu superstar used to smoke many times and we have seen him doing it in his films. However, he eventually, gave up after ‘reading a book on smoking’ by the author Allen Carr. In his latest movies, he makes sure not to smoke.

3. Vijay Devarakonda

Vijay Deverakonda is an Indian actor and producer who primarily works in Telugu language films. He established himself as a leading actor in the Tollywood industry by starring in lead roles in films such as Arjun Reddy (2017), Mahanati (2018), Geetha Govindam (2018), and Taxiwaala (2018).

Moreover, his performance in Arjun Reddy won him several accolades, including the Filmfare Award for Best Actor (Telugu). The actor who never smoked a cigarette was forced to smoke in the movie Arjun Reddy. The story demanded the character to carry smoking habit. However, Vijay then gave up the smoking habit once the movie got over.

2. Kamal Haasan

Popularly referred to as ‘Ulaganayagan’, our very own Kamal Haasan is one the brightest stars in the history of Tamil cinema; an actor, dancer, director, producer, screenwriter, playback singer and lyricist who has contributed not only to Tamil movies but also worked in Telugu, Malayalam, Kanada Hindi and Bengali industry.

The legendary actor recalled the time that he first smoked a cigarette when he was 11 years old. He admitted that his mother was the main reason to give up smoking. He also jokingly said that he quit the habit since he had to do many lip-lock scenes.

Superstar Rajinikanth is a legendary actor in Indian cinema. He has a massive fan-following from all across the world. He is 70 years old but still, he hasn’t given up his acting career. Rajini sir is still entertaining the fans with his style, action, comedy.

Earlier, in his career, he used to smoke too much which eventually led to health problems. The legend himself admitted that his body organs got affected and was also treated in Singapore. After that, he decided to quit smoking and also advised people to quit the habit.

Speaking on the matter the superstar confirmed “I continued to smoke too much which eventually became the root cause for my health problems. My lungs and kidneys got affected and I had to be treated in Singapore.

The medicines I took to recover also made me weak and I changed my medicine system. Now, for the past two months, I’ve been hale and healthy and even doctors exclaim that it’s a miracle. This is why I’m asking you to stop smoking. Please quit the habit immediately,” the legend said in an interview in 2012.
