Comedian-actor Kapil Sharma has worked really hard to reach the stardom that he enjoys now. The show has grabbed the top position in TRP ratings and has become the most-watched channel across the country.
Mukesh Khanna, better known as Shaktimaan had allegedly refusing to be a part of the ‘Mahabharat’ reunion on The Kapil Sharma Show. Opening up about the same, Mukesh had said, “The reason is that even though the Kapil Show is popular all over the country, I do not think there is a worse show than this.
This show is full of fuhadpana, full of double meaning words, taking a turn towards vulgarity with every moment. In which the men wear women’s clothes, do cheap things and people laugh, holding their stomachs.”
Kapil Sharma Show is loved by millions of people across the world. But Mukesh Khanna reckons otherwise. He took to his social media and shared a hard-hitting post targeting Kapil Sharma and his show. In his post, he labelled the show ‘cheap and vulgar’. Besides that, he also took a swipe at Navjot Singh Sidhu and Archana Puran Singh. He wrote:
“This question has gone viral why Bheeshma Pitamah wasn’t a part of the Mahabharat show. Some say I wasn’t invited. Some say I refused myself. It is true that Mahabharata is incomplete without Bhishma. It is true that there is no question of not inviting. It is also true that I was the one to reject the invitation. This is also the truth that people would ask me why would I reject a popular show like Kapil Sharma. The biggest actors go there. They might go but Mukesh Khanna will not go! Gufi asked me the same question that those people are going to invite us after the Ramayana. I said, all of you go, I will not go. I was the one to refuse.”
“The reason is that even though the Kapil Show is popular all over the country, I don’t think there is a worse show than this. This show is full of double meaning words, taking a turn towards vulgarity with every moment. In which the men wear women’s clothes, do cheap things and people laugh, holding their stomachs. They place someone on the throne in the center. Their job is to laugh, even if the laughter is not real. They get money for it. Before this, brother Siddhu used to sit for this work. Now sister Archana does it. And what is their job? Just to laugh”
He added: “I will give an example. You will understand how poor the level of comedy is in this show. All of you must have seen the Ramayan show before this one. Kapil asks Arun Govil: ‘You are taking a bath at the beach and someone from the crowd screams, ‘Hey look, Ram ji also wears VIP underwear! What will you say?’,” he said.
Mukesh said that had Kapil asked him something like this, he would have shut him up. I just saw the promo. Arun Govil, who walks around with the image of Shri Ram ji, just smiled. How can you ask such a lousy question to someone whom the world seen as Lord Ram! Do not know what Arun said in response. I would have shut up Kapil. That is why I did not go.”
Kapil Sharma eventually replied to Mukesh’s attack on his show and made a heart-winning statement. Talking to ETimes, Kapil Sharma: “When the whole world is going through a tough time, it is important to bring a smile on people’s faces. It depends on each individual ki aapko kis baat main khushi dhoondhni hai, aur kis baat main kami. I have chosen happiness and prefer to focus on my work and continue to keep doing that in the future.”
