Muslim leader announces ₹51 Lakh bounty on Dalit MLA’s nephew for a mere FB comment

An angry Muslim mob gathered at the residence of Congress MLA Akhanda Srinivasamurthy after one of his relatives made a derogatory remark against Prophet Mohammad.

According to the reports, the Muslim mob hit the streets near DJ Halli and KG Halli police station areas on Tuesday evening and pelted stones at the Congress MLA’s house.

It has been reported that a massive crowd had gathered around the Srinivasamurthy’s house after allegedly insulting Prophet Muhammad. They held protests in front of his residence and forced the shopkeepers to down shutters in Pulakeshinagar, Bharatinagar, Commercial Street and Tannery Road.

Meanwhile, a Muslim leader from Meerut has announced a bounty of Rs 51 lakh on the head of Naveen, the nephew of Karnataka Congress MLA R Akhanda Srinivasmurthy for his Facebook post. In the video, the man said that anyone who gets him the head of Naveen will be offered Rs 51 lakh. Violence broke out in Bengaluru over an alleged inciting social media post by Naveen in which three people got killed in police firing.

Congress MLA Akhanda Srinivasamurthy represents Pulikeshinagar constituency which is reserved for the Scheduled Caste (SC). The Muslim mob, armed with sticks, iron rods, sharp metal objects and other weapons, went berserk and barged into the house of the MLA.

The angry mob has rampaged the law and order of the city with destroying vehicles, ATMs, shops, buildings, roads, and everything which came in their sight. They held violent protests against the alleged defamatory statement made by his nephew P. Naveen.

Residents began sharing the “offensive” post through messages, and soon, around 600 people gathered near the Pulakeshinagar police station demanding justice. Crowds also gathered outside Murthy’s residence, shouting slogans like ‘Allah-hu-Akbar’ and ‘Nara-e-Taqbeer’.

Soon, the situation took an ugly turn after two separate Muslim mobs gathered in front of KG Halli and DJ Halli police stations. The Muslim mobs locked the gates from outside and pelted stones at the police station. They vandalized two-wheelers and cars and set them on fire during the violence. At least 10 vehicles, including Innovas of two DCPs, were damaged in front of the stations. The mob also set fire to the vehicles in front of the DJ Halli police station.

In what seems to be a pre-planned attack by the Muslim mob, the Muslim mob, carrying petrol and other weapons, also barged into the nearest police quarters and attack the premises.

The Muslim mob was seen raising Islamic slogans like ‘Allah-hu-Akbar’ and ‘Nara-e-Taqbeer’ outside the police station.

The mob did not stop here, they went on to attack media persons as well, who were capturing the violent incident on their phone cameras and Suvarna News journalists have been injured. The cameras and mobiles were snatched and damaged completely.
