There has been no corruption in Modi’s tenure, no proof in Rafale: Shekhar Gupta

This is true that the Narendra Modi-led government has curbed corruption. Since 2014, no big scam has happened at the center level. Gone are the days when every morning we got to hear news full of scams. At that time, scams had become a headline for every news channel. Corruption related news used to be on the front page of every newspaper. The public of India was fed up with this news and wanted to see change. That is the reason why congress was brutally defeated by the BJP in the general election of 2014. The scam was a major issue in the election of 2014. As a result, BJP came with a full majority for the first time in history.

Corruption is one of the serious problems which leads to various other serious issues. The country has witnessed many scams that happened during the congress government and most of the big scams occurred between 2004 to 2014 under the nose of former PM Manmohan Singh. During these times, everyone used to get to hear the news with respect to scam be it coal scam, CWG scam, 2G scam, etc. but since the Modi government came into power, things have changed drastically. we are witnessing that a government with transparency is being led by PM Modi. The Modi government has curbed corruption to a great extent.

The Modi government has worked upon overcoming the problem of corruption. In this way, this government has set an example for the countrymen and people are getting inspired by the Modi government to work with honesty and dedication to reach their goals rather than by using corrupt means.

Steps Taken By Modi Govt.-:

Many steps have been taken by the Modi government to overcome corruption such as Direct benefit transfer (DBT), Demonetisation, Digital India. DBT was introduced to improve the delivery of public welfare services. Now, DBT is credited directly into bank accounts and is linked with Aadhaar. Demonetisation took place on November 8, 2016. The objective was to bring black money back. Digital India was also a great step to stop corruption. Under this scheme, Adhar Card was issued to every citizen and made it necessary to link with bank accounts and sim cards. However, one false allegation with respect to Rafael’s deal was imposed on the Modi government by Congress. However, the supreme court gave clean chit to Modi government in Rafale deal and dismissed all the petitions.

PM Modi is taking all necessary steps to curb corruption and has a dream to see corruption-free India. From 2014 to date, the BJP party has emerged as a big party leaving congress behind. This is a new India where scam is not possible for any leader. As long as there are leaders like Narendra Modi and Atal Bihari Vajpayee, corruption can not take place.
