Rajasthan had recently announced that it is going to find methods to combat honour killing. But still, there have been plenty of cases of man and woman being beaten up and attacked simply because they are having an affair.
While there is that group of Indians which is agreeing to the idea of people being in same-sex relationships, there is a majority of those who cannot even digest the concept of men and women dating each other, irrespective of their caste and religion.
News agency ANI reported that a man and woman were allegedly attacked badly and their hair chopped off in Rajasthan’s Nagaur district for being in a relationship. They were allegedly thrashed by the woman’s family members.
A video is reportedly doing the rounds on social media where a few people can be seen attacking and chopping the hair of a woman and a man.
Superintendent of Police Vikas Pathak told news agency ANI that, “A video of a woman and a man being assaulted had gone viral. Police reached the spot to gather information about the incident. We are filing an FIR and taking further action.”
