Indian actor arrested for molesting a teenage girl

Indian TV actor Mandar Kulkarni has been detained for molesting a minor girl. The 17-year-old victim filed an FIR at Deccan Police Station. The 35-year-old actor has worked in popular Marathi TV shows like Amhi Doghe Raja Rani and Radha Prem Rangi Rangli.

The investigating officer stationed at Deccan Police Station Deepak Lagad told India Today that the minor victim in her written statement has alleged that the accused invited her to his home on the pretext of getting a photoshoot done for forthcoming TV shows.

The victim’s statement also adds that Mandar Kulkarni had also promised her of giving a break in TV shows and Marathi movies too. The two stumbled upon at an acting workshop six months ago. It was during the discussions and gatherings, Mandar used to boast about his huge contacts in the Marathi film industry.

A week ago, Mandar approached the victim with a tempting offer of an audition test for a TV show. He even asked her to get a photoshoot done for the same and he also offered to click her pictures for free. It was when Mandar convinced the girl to come to his residence alone for the photoshoot session.

During the photo shoot at his residence in Prabhat Road, Pune, he clicked the girl’s pictures in different poses and different dresses.

Later, the accused didn’t hesitate to ask the girl to also get some pictures clicked in a bikini. The actor then clicked her pictures in different poses in bikini.

While clicking the pics, the victim alleged that he even took the measurement of her clothes. Shocked by the unexpected incident, the girl returned home and shared her terrible experience with her parents. Her parent suddenly took her to the police station and filed a case against the accused actor.
