In yet another horror, a 6-year-old girl was initially raped and then choked to death by a teenager who was under the influence of alcohol in Turkapally village in Telangana. It has been learnt that the girl had gone out to play Holi. As reported by The Hindu, deceased body was recovered from the bushes and on the basis of tip-off collected by police hinted that she was raped and murdered.
“Prima facie it seems that the girl was raped and then hacked to death,” police added in a statement. The police lodged a case under IPC and Protection of Child Against Sexual Offences (POCSO) against the wrongdoer who is native of West Champaran district in Bihar.
The accused took the girl to a private place and then raped her, after which he murdered her around 3 pm, the police official said. The complaint report of the girl who had gone missing was filed at Alwal police station after the family and locality was unable to trace her.
“A team immediately swung into action and later in the evening, the victim’s body was found in the bushes,” Hyderabad police said. The culprit has been detained and then taken into custody and the investigation is still going on.
