With $54 Billion Net Worth, Mukesh Ambani is now among the Top 10 richest people in the World

For the 11th straight year, Reliance Industries’ chairman Mukesh Ambani is the richest Indian billionaire. No one in this country has come close to his net worth. It’s because of an epic success of his telecom company Reliance Jio, he is enjoying a staggering wealth.

Mukesh Ambani’s net worth is $54 billion which puts him among the top 10 richest people in the world and the only Indian to be in the list. Earlier, he was the 20th richest person in the world but now he has made giant strides to get into the Top 10 list.

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos tops the Hurun Global Rich List 2019 for the second year in a row. Ambani is at No.10 spot with a staggering network of Rs 3.83 lakh crore. He owns almost 52% of the shares in Reliance and last month, the company’s shares escalated to an extreme high of Rs 8-lakh-crore-mark.

As per the report released on Thursday, other wealthiest Indians are Hinduja group chairman SP Hinduja with a massive net worth is $21 billion followed by Wipro chairman Azim Premji who comes third with a net worth of $17 billion.

Bill Gates is up by one position to the second spot with a whopping $96 billion while Warren Buffett saw a decline by a spot to third with a $14 billion (14 per cent decrease) in his wealth.

Mukesh Ambani is the owner of the second-most expensive home in the world, which is, Antilia, ranks after the Buckingham Palace. Antilia, the Ambani residence, is worth Rs 1,40,000,000,000 (14,000 crore rupees or USD 2 billion).

It is located in one of the most expensive residential areas in India, Mumbai’s Altamount Road. The property rates here are a staggering Rs 80,000 to Rs 85,000 per square foot. Antilia has ice-cream parlour, a mega-temple and a private theatre that can accommodate 50 people and a salon as well.

His collections comprise Mercedes Maybach, Aston Martin Rapide, Rolls Royce Phantom and Bentley Bentayga. It should be noted that Bentley Bentayga is one of the fastest production SUVs and one costs Rs 7.6 crore. Interestingly, Ambani’s own two of these!
