Former CSK player Badrinath trolls Rohit Sharma after he was clean bowled against Pakistan, fans roasted him badly!

Former Chennai Super Kings cricketer by the name of Subramaniam Badrinath who represented the Indian cricket team in 2 Tests, 7 ODIs and 1 T20I trolled Indian skipper Rohit Sharma after the latter was clean-bowled during the Asia Cup 2023 group stage game against Pakistan.

The Indian captain Rohit Sharma started off really well by hitting two boundaries against the Green Shirts at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Pallekele. However, as it turned out, his problems against the left-arm seamer continued to haunt him.

Shaheen Shah Afridi who has troubled the world-class batsmen time and time again in his career once again ruffled Rohit Sharma’s feathers with his quick bowling. Rohit Sharma failed to read the line and length before the ball shattered the stumps. Rohit made his way back to the dressing room for 11.

After the game, the former CSK player took to his Twitter handle and then posted a meme, trolling the Indian captain Rohit Sharma. He compared the picture of Rohit Sharma’s wicket with a scene from a Tamil movie named “Chennai 28” starring Agila Ulaga Superstar Shiva in the lead role.

The former Indian cricketer added that it is just for fun as the two images are identical. “Too identical (the shot I meant).

Meanwhile, the fans slammed the former cricketer for trolling the Indian captain, which is totally unacceptable by any means.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma made a good comeback against Nepal. He scored an unbeaten 74 off 59 balls where he smashed as many as six fours and five sixes. He was named the Man of the Match for his sterling knock. India won the game by 10 wickets and qualified for the Super 4 stage.

After the game, Rohit Sharma said, “Not really (happy with the knock), some nerves to start with but once I got my eye in, I wanted to get the team home. That was not intentional (the flick-sweep), I wanted to chip it over short fine but the bats these days are so good. When we came here we knew what our World Cup 15 is going to be like, the Asia Cup was not going to give us a better picture because it was only two games.”

He further added, “But luckily we got to bat in the first game and bowl in this, so that made it a complete game for us. Still have a lot to work on. Lot of guys coming back from injuries and they need time to get back into the groove. Hardik and Ishan were very good in the last game to get us to that score. The bowling was okay today but the fielding was bad, we need to improve on that.”
