Finally India reacts to Elon Musk’s proposal of charging $8 for Blue Tick subscription on Twitter

After reports and speculations emerged that the new Elon Musk-led authority at Twitter will charge verified users $20 each month to keep or even obtain the blue tick, several users expressed their frustration on Twitter portal.

In the latest development, Elon Musk confirmed that a blue tick will cost $8 a month for Twitter users. To which, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Arindam Bagchi has replied to the question about Twitter charging $8 per month for blue tick to Twitter users.

“We are not aware of the process of paid subscription, We will take a decision based on the contours of this subscription service as & when it happens.” Arindam Bagchi added.
