Vijay Deverakonda is an Indian actor and producer who primarily works in Telugu language films. He established himself as a leading actor in the Tollywood industry by starring in lead roles in films such as Arjun Reddy (2017), Mahanati (2018), Geetha Govindam (2018), and Taxiwaala (2018).

Moreover, his performance in Arjun Reddy won him several accolades, including the Filmfare Award for Best Actor (Telugu). His popular films include Arjun Reddy, Geeta Govindam, Pelli Choopulu and so on.

He has a huge fan following in India. The actor who never smoked a cigarette was forced to smoke in the movie Arjun Reddy. The story demanded the character to carry a smoking habit. However, Vijay then gave up the smoking habit once the movie got over.

Meanwhile, Vijay Deverakonda is busy promoting his upcoming film “Liger” featuring co-star Ananya Pandey and others. The actor hogged the limelight after he was seen wearing a chappal worth Rs 200.

Reports stated the actor wanted to be in his character from Liger. As a result, he preferred to dress up like him. Nonetheless, there’s another reason behind why Vijay chose Chappals over shoes.

When asked about his fashion sense, the actor told, “I wear all sorts of things. It all depends on my mood.” Talking about his Chappals, he said, “I have to promote the movie for 30 days. It gets tough to look for shoes and clothes for every day. So, I bought one gray coloured chappals and it is making my life easier.”

When the reporter told him that people write on fashion statements of celebrities and often it’s news when they repeat their outfits. To which, Vijay had responded that “they only complain when you wear the same thing once, twice or thrice. If you wear the same thing 10 times, people will give up.”
