Hrithik Roshan’s 2016 FIR against actress Kangana Ranaut, which was previously being investigated by Mumbai’s Cyber Cell unit, has now been transferred to the Crime Branch’s crime intelligence unit.
This comes after the actor’s lawyer wrote to the Mumbai commissioner reminding that there has not been any progress in the case since 2016 and demanded a proper investigation into the matter.
A crime branch officer confirmed the development on Monday and said that CIU will conduct further investigation. In 2016, Hrithik filed an FIR against Kangana alleging that he received numerous emails from Kangana’s email id.
Kangana Ranaut has now reacted to the same and slammed Hrithik. The actress wrote, “His sob story starts again, so many years since our break up and his divorce but he refuses to move on, refuses to date any woman, just when I gather the courage to find some hope in my personal life he starts the same drama again, @iHrithik kab tak royega ek chote se affair keliye?”
“Our client also met top police officers when he reiterated all the facts and informed them about the trauma being caused to him and his family. He also reiterated his request for a timely investigation. However, till date, there has been no progress in the investigation, and the aforementioned case is still pending. We thus request to kindly look in the matter and issue appropriate orders to kindly direct completion of investigation at the earliest since the same is pending since 2016,” states the letter sent by the actor’s lawyer to Mumbai Police (HT has a copy).
This is not the first time that Kangana has lashed out at Hrithik. Ever since the actress has taken over her Twitter handle, she has been targeting the actor and also other Bollywood celebs.
Kangana, in several interviews, has alleged that Hrithik cheated on her while he was already married. On the other hand, Hrithik has never gone on record to make any statement on the issue. On the contrary, the actor has taken to legal route and filed an FIR against Kangana.
