The couple have known each other for the past three decades but they waited till their 60s to tie the nuptial knot. What started a budding romance eventually turned into a grand wedding in Kerala after the 67-year-old man identified as Kochaniyan Menon got married to a 65-year-old Lakshmi Ammal in an old age home.

The couple in love with each other tied the knot at a government-run old-age home in Ramavarmapuram in Thrissur district. The iconic event was graced by Kerala agriculture minister VS Sunil Kumar. The best part of the event came when VS Sunil Kumar offered Lakshmi Ammal’s hand to Kochaniyan.

It has been said that they have known each other for more than thirty years, even before they came to the old age home. They were divided for some time but destiny reunited them in the same old age home.

Both of them made up their mind to get married and the pictures from their wedding are doing the rounds on all social media platforms. The romantic couple looks beautiful together, with Lakshmi Ammal donning a beautiful red silk saree with golden zari work. She was also adorned in jewellery and jasmine flowers. While, Kochaniyan wore the traditional off-white mundu and shirt.
