USA warns Pak not to use American weapons against India, asks to stop its terror factory

Pakistan might have landed in blowtorch situation after using F-16s for their ‘own sake’ to enter into Jammu & Kashmir. So what next? Pakistan may have breached US rules and regulations that seek to intercept foreign militaries from using US weapons and jets without “initial permission” for executing cross-border attacks that Pakistan attempted on Wednesday.

According to a Times Now report Pakistan’s misadventures across the LoC on Wednesday morning may have serious consequences as it’s not clear if the Pakistani military got the approval from the US.

Following the anti-terror strikes executed by the Indian Air Force, the US had previously warned Pakistan against taking up the matter through military action and strongly warned to act against country-backed terror.

It is cognisance of the fact that America has strict protocols in case of using its weapons and aircraft. Pakistan cannot use the F-16s in an offensive operation, but it can use them to “defend itself” from danger. It will be quite interesting to see what the US does it agrees to give aircraft to another country.

A spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs said Pakistan’s attempts to use its air force to target Indian military installations were foiled by the Indian military.

“The Pakistan Air Force was detected and the Indian Air Force responded instantly. In that aerial engagement, one Pakistan Air Force fighter aircraft was shot down by a MiG 21 Bison of the Indian Air Force,” the spokesperson added in a statement.
