Man asks Anand Mahindra to gift SUV to Mohammed Siraj

We all know that Mohammed Siraj was the wrecker-in-chief for India in the Asia Cup 2023 final against Sri Lanka. The right-arm fast bowler ripped through the defence of Sri Lanka’s batting line-up by taking 6 wickets to his name, giving away 21 runs and also bowled a maiden over.

He was named the Man of the Match for his outstanding performance. After his amazing performance, Anand Mahindra wrote, “I don’t think I have EVER before felt my heart weep for our opponents….It’s as if we have unleashed a supernatural force upon them…@mdsirajofficial you are a Marvel Avenger…” Anand Mahindra wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

In reply to Anand Mahindra’s post, one of the users commented “Sir please give him an SUV.” To which Anand Mahindra responded, “Been there, done that…”.

After receiving the Man of the Match award, Mohammed Siraj hogged the limelight when he donated his cash prize of USD 5,000 to Sri Lankan groundsmen.

“No biryani here. Have been bowling well since a long time. Was missing the edges earlier. But found them today. The wicket was seaming earlier, but there was swing today. Thought that I will bowl fuller because of the swing. When there’s good bonding between fast bowlers, it’s helpful for the team. I was thinking it would be great if I could stop the boundary. My best spell. This cash prize goes to the groundsmen. This tournament wouldn’t have been possible without them,” he added.
