Ambani is building his own city on a par with Dubai and Singapore

We are excited to share some great news: North India is poised to become the fastest-growing region, thanks to the eagerly anticipated development of a new city, often referred to as Dream City or Green Film City. This ambitious project is being spearheaded by Reliance, a leading private corporation. Unlike traditional scenarios where the responsibility of attracting investments falls on the government, this innovative endeavor places the onus squarely on private enterprise.

Reliance’s groundbreaking initiative is named “Met City” or “Model Economic Township City,” and construction has already commenced. In this article, we will provide an in-depth look into the development of this remarkable township.

According to numerous reports, this city is poised to become the fastest-growing urban center in North India. It’s worth noting that Reliance has a history of successfully developing entire townships. Prior to this project, they established a sizable township called Reliance Greens near Jamnagar, which is now home to 6,500 families. Additionally, Reliance has a track record of creating various industrial and residential townships, as well as corporate parks. MET City, is a combined industrial and residential township designed to cater to the requirements of both industries and housing.

Met City is an integrated smart city plan developed by Model Economic Township Limited. It is a 100 percent subsidiary of Reliance Industries. That is, the entire ownership is with Reliance only. The AIM or objective of this city is to provide world-class infrastructure and walk-to-work facilities to the people. It is a mega development project comprising industrial plots and residential plots. Reliance MET City is spread over 8,250 acres and is strategically located.

This is located in Haryana’s Jhajjar district, on the borders of Jaipur, Delhi, and Gurugram. This means that even though this area is not in the rural regions of Haryana, it is located near Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR), making it indirectly part of the Delhi NCR’s expansion plan. The Haryana government has approved this as a fully integrated developing township.

Reliance is also developing a reserved space for global athletes with a focus on city connectivity and accessibility. Furthermore, Japanese companies like Nihon Kohden, Panasonic, Denso, and T-Suzuki are considering this city vital for their future expansions and are making significant investments. These large Japanese corporations, which have transformed an entire sector into the Japan Industrial Township, are now set to develop this sector as a model for their country.

The project boasts excellent connectivity to Delhi via the KMP expressway and multiple national highways (NH-9, NH-48, NH-71, NH-10), as well as Sh-15A. Additionally, it will have strong railway connectivity through the Northern Railway line, dedicated freight corridor, and Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor. Indira Gandhi International Airport is conveniently nearby, and once fully developed, it will be known as New Greenfield City, providing easy airport access.
