After reports and speculations emerged that the new Elon Musk-led authority at Twitter will charge verified users $20 each month to keep or even obtain the blue tick, several users expressed their frustration on Twitter portal.
Meanwhile, US politician by the name of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez went took a dig at Elon Musk over the blue tick fee as she wrote, “Lmao at a billionaire earnestly trying to sell people on the idea that “free speech” is actually an $8/mo subscription plan.”
To which, Elon Musk gave a savage reply as he wrote, “Your feedback is appreciated, now pay $8”
