By December 2015, he had a staggering total of 1.12 crore shares. He took a next decisive step as he sold 12 lakh shares and kept 1 crore shares of the company in the December 2017 quarter. Today, his overall stock in the company is worth Rs 648 crore.
In September 2013, the stock was trading around 80 rupees, hence the 50 lakh shares would have been estimated at around Rs 40 crore. At the current value of Rs 648, the 50 lakh shares purchased in the year 2013 is now estimated to be around Rs 324 crore and thereby, giving him an incredible profit of Rs 284 crore.
Nonetheless, the economic slowdown did cause damage to his auto industry in 2019. The stock price of the Escorts group saw a decline of 8.2 per cent due to this. But for the second quarter (Q2), Escorts had reported a marginal rise in its September quarter (Q2FY20) net profit at Rs 101.5 crore against Rs 101.2 crore in the same quarter 2018.
Escorts has now reported a 1.6 per cent rise in tractor sales at 13,353 units in October. As far as the Domestic tractor is concerned, the sales last month were at 13,034 units as compared to that of 12,867 in October 2018, an increase of 1.3 per cent, it said.
Exports remained at 319 units as compared to 273 in the same month of 2018, a growth of 16.8 per cent, the company added in a statement.

The couple decided to quit the lucrative high-paying jobs and start new innings in life by opening Chai Villa in Nagpur almost a year ago. It was when their life started to change. When you follow your heart, everything is peaceful. Today, they earn up to Rs.5 lakh every month.
“I have been working for 10 years as an engineer in companies like IBM and Cognizant, but my wife and I wanted to do something different in life so we started this shop and now we earn up to Rs 5 lakh every month,” he added.
With plenty of tea and coffee flavours to choose from, the stall has perfected the attracting the customers. “Chai Villa sells more than fifteen types of tea and coffee. The shop offers various kinds of snacks too and also takes orders through WhatsApp and Zomato. The stall also has special containers for delivering tea in offices, banks, and hospitals. We have also hired a lot of people and want to expand our chain,” Nitin Biyani said according to ANI.
Chai Villa on an estimate serves more than 2000 cups of tea in a day. Nitin and his wife are happy with the success and he wants to take this business to a different level. Right now, he is looking for investors who can help him open more such stores in other cities as well.
Nitin said adding that the shop was on many social networking sites and even the customers are turning up in numbers to get a new experience. One of the customers, Hritesh, said, “I like this place as we get different types of tea at affordable prices here and it is very hygienic.”

Financial backers of Lenskart are TPG Growth, International Finance Corp and Adveq Management. Ratan Tata (of Tata Sons) and S Gopalakrishnan (of Infosys) have also invested in Lenskart. In March 2018 Wipro Chairman Azim Premji invested 400 crores in the group taking the valuation of the firm to 3000 Crore.
By the year 2016, Lenskart had become one of the two top optical chains in the country along with Titan Eye Plus. Its manufacturing facility in Delhi manufactures 300,000 glasses a month.
Apart from India, Lenskart also has a factory in Zhengzhou (China) which manufactures about 50% of the production. Lenskart had launched the eyewear brand John Jacobs in the year 2017 and for that brand aimed to touch a staggering Rs 500 crore in revenue in two years. In, 2018 the company became profitable.
The ‘Eyewear Retailer’ is in advanced talks with Japanese group SoftBank including the private equity firm Kedaara Capital for investment.
It should be noted that in October 2017, Lenskart’s first brand ambassador was Katrina Kaif. In March 2019, the company roped in Bhuvan Bam as their first male brand ambassador.
Lenskart Solutions posted annual revenue of Rs 486.2 crore in FY19, which is up by 56.3 per cent from its reported revenue of Rs 310.9 crore in the previous fiscal, documents filed by the company with Registrar of Companies (RoC) revealed.

Meet 50-year-old Griffith David Bengaluru-based entrepreneur who owns the Subway Franchise at the Bengaluru‘s Kempegowda International Airport. The outlet is so popular that it bakes fresh bread up to 10 times per day in a bid to meet its massive demand.
While speaking about his outlet, David told SMBstory, “My outlet at Bengaluru airport was awarded number one in unit sales worldwide in 2015 and 2019. It is in a great location, open 24/7, managed efficiently and serves only fresh food. Further, we ensure the line moves quickly. This way, we are able to sell around 1,200 subs each day,” he added in a statement.
With IT background and an MBA degree from Thunderbird School of Global Management, Arizona, David was pretty much interested in entering the food industry but had no prior experience and it was then he made up his mind to take up the Subway franchise. As the days progressed, Griffith slowly acquired the franchise for five more Subway outlets.
During his IT days, Griffith worked with Intel and Yahoo and used to manage teams and business units in countries like Asia, Europe, and North America.

A family-run YouTube channel named Ryan ToysReview earned about $22 million in pretax income from June 1, 2017, through June 1, 2018, according to Forbes, up from $11 million the year before. The estimate of $22 million put Ryan ToysReview ahead of controversial star Jake Paul ($21.5 million).
