Welcome to the first edition of the Inside Rotaract by Rotaract Club of Thane East (RCTE). These are going to be a series of articles that will give a brief journey of an amazing committee of people aging between 16 to 30 years which works for the betterment of the society one step at a time. We live by the motto of “Self Development – Fellowship Through Service” which means serving the society and developing ourselves at the same time, it believes in forging a bond with people by serving the community.
As quoted by Nelson Mandela, “The youth of today are the leaders of tomorrow”. A Rotaract Club helps achieve this by providing today’s youth with great contacts, various abilities, unusual experience, and massive exposure to everything . In short, it helps transform a seed into an extra-ordinary tree by organizing various projects under various categories(avenues). Any Rotaract Club is presided over by the President and has the support of a Core Team and the Board of Directors(BoD). The BoD and the Core are the governing body for the club and meet at least once a month , club members in good standing may attend General Body Meetings(GBM) as observers .
Rotaract Club of Thane East has been working to develop the youth for around thirty-six years . The club is located in the Rotaract District 3142 , which includes the towns of Thane , Dombivili , Kalyan , Navi Mumbai, etc. Currently, RCTE is led by Rtr. AmoghHattangadi as the President and Rtr.
