Shah Rukh Khan, often referred to as the “King of Bollywood”, needs no introduction. He has been the face of Indian cinema for decades, with a fan following that spans the globe.
From his early days in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge to blockbuster hits like Pathaan, SRK isn’t just a superstar. He is an emotion for millions. But beyond the stardom and stage lights, he’s also a doting father and that side of him was delightfully visible at a recent Netflix event featuring his son, Aryan Khan.

Aryan Khan is officially stepping into Bollywood, but not as an actor like his father—he’s making his mark behind the camera. His directorial debut, The Ba**ds of Bollywood*, is all set to stream on Netflix, and the buzz is already electric. Produced by Gauri Khan, Aryan’s mom, the show promises to be an unapologetic, entertaining ride into the heart of the film industry.
At the launch event, the entire Khan family showed up in full support—SRK, Gauri, and Suhana were all there for Aryan’s big moment. But what truly stole the spotlight was the playful interaction between father and son in a teaser video shared online.
“Tere Baap Ka Raaj Hai Kya?” – A Classic SRK Moment
The teaser video featured Aryan directing Shah Rukh in what seemed like a light-hearted behind-the-scenes moment. As Aryan continued to ask his dad for multiple retakes, Shah Rukh—clearly flustered—jokingly snapped:
“Shut up… one more one more… Tere baap ka raaj hai kya?”
To which Aryan, without missing a beat, replied with a deadpan expression:
“Yes.”
And just like that, the internet exploded with laughter. It was peak Khan sass—and fans absolutely loved it.
The moment quickly went viral, not just because of the humor, but because it showed the comfort and confidence Aryan holds even while directing someone as legendary as his dad.
It also showed how Shah Rukh Khan despite all the accolades can effortlessly laugh at himself and share such moments of pure, candid joy with his family. And Aryan? He proved he is just as quick-witted and cool as his father.
At the Netflix event, Shah Rukh admitted how Aryan and Gauri wouldn’t let him talk too much about the series. With his trademark charm, he joked:
“Sab show dikhayenge, hum tumhe dikhayenge. I am ghar ki murgi daal barabar for Gauri and Aryan.”
Translation: In his own home, he’s the underrated one—just like ordinary lentils!
SRK also got nostalgic talking about how Aryan and Suhana grew up around Bollywood giants like Aditya Chopra, Hrithik Roshan, and Karan Johar.
As kids, they were confused about whether everyone who visited their home just worked on TV. It is a reminder of how deeply the film world was always in their orbit—but Aryan has chosen to be behind the lens, creating, directing, and telling stories.
