Poor husband carried his dying wife for half a kilometer, while the railway authority failed to act

A very heart-wrenching incident has come to light from Gwalior, which has shaken humanity and exposed the GRP (Government Railway Police) system’s insensitivity. The newly married couple of Vikas and Shivani, whose happy life came to a halt in just a month.

According to sources, Shivani, an LLB student, had recently gone to Orai with her husband Vikas to take the exam. After the exam, both of them returned to Gwalior on Tuesday and then boarded a train to Indore. But this journey proved to be the most horrific journey of their lives.

According to husband Vikas, around 9 PM, after the train left Shivpuri station, Shivani started vomiting and went near the coach door. While Vikas went to get water, a fellow passenger informed him that Shivani had slipped and fallen from the train. Vikas immediately pulled the emergency chain to stop the train and found her lying on the tracks about a kilometer away in the dark.

Husband Vikas said that even after being informed about the incident, GRP did not help him, and he kept looking for his wife in the dark with the help of a mobile torch. After finding his wife, he walked for half a kilometer carrying her in his arms. Later, GRP people came and started talking about rules and regulations and asked him to sign papers in the whole matter, while at that time his wife needed treatment. After this, with great difficulty, he found a car, and then he was able to come to the hospital, where doctors declared Shivani dead.

This painful news is going viral on social media, on everyone’s reactions are also coming. A user writes, @RailMinIndia What arrangements are available on trains to handle situations like vomiting? Where can a passenger go if they feel nauseous or need to vomit?

Other users write, the entire RPF and GRP of the train should be dismissed due to this shameful incident. When they cannot save anyone’s life, cannot communicate with each other, cannot arrange for any railway help… then have they joined the force to extort illegal money?? In which force do they not teach first aid?
