Urvashi Rautela replies after being called ‘Beauty Without Brains’, Catch Details

Urvashi Rautela, the 30-year-old Indian actress and model, is often in the spotlight — not just for her films and fashion, but also for her controversial statements. Known for representing India at Miss Universe 2015 and her glamorous presence, Urvashi is no stranger to online trolling.

Recently, she was heavily criticized on social media after an interview clip went viral. In the interview, she was asked about Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan’s shocking knife attack incident, which occurred on January 16, 2025.

However, instead of addressing the incident, Urvashi started talking about her film Daaku Maharaaj’s box office collection and luxury gifts from her parents, a diamond-studded Rolex and a fancy ring-watch.

Her response didn’t sit well with netizens, who found it tone-deaf and insensitive. Soon, many labeled her as “Beauty Without Brains” on various platforms.

Urvashi Reacts to Trolls

In a new interview with Instant Bollywood, Urvashi finally responded to the trolls. She said even big names like Prime Minister Narendra Modi and stars like Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan are not spared from criticism.

Her statement was: “Even our Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi ji, and my most favourite superstars, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, get trolled. So what can I really do?”

While her reply aimed to show how trolling spares no one, many users felt she was indirectly comparing herself to iconic personalities like Salman and Shah Rukh — which led to even more trolling.

After the video surfaced, one user commented, “Showoff ki dukaan,” while another said, “She is still out of the zone.” Many felt her attitude in the interview lacked empathy, especially when she shifted the focus from Saif’s serious incident to her personal achievements and expensive gifts.

Urvashi Explains Her Side

After facing backlash, Urvashi posted an apology on Instagram — though she deleted it later. In another interview with Filmfare, she explained that she gave the interview just hours after the attack and was exhausted from a hectic schedule.

She said the question about Saif caught her off guard as the incident happened at 4 am and she hadn’t fully processed the news. She also mentioned that her comments about her parents’ gifts came from excitement, not arrogance, and it was just a moment of misplaced enthusiasm.
