When Irrfan Khan gave an EPIC REPLY to a Pakistani Reporter who asked he would visit Pakistan, Old video goes viral

Even years after his passing, Irrfan Khan continues to inspire millions—not just with his films, but with his fearless voice and sharp wit. Widely regarded as one of the finest actors Indian cinema has ever produced, Irrfan was known for his understated charm, razor-sharp humor, and calm yet commanding presence.

Recently, amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan following the Pahalgam terror attack and India’s Operation Sindoor, an old video of the late actor has gone viral—and for good reason.

The Old Clip That Has Everyone Talking

In the resurfaced video, Irrfan is seen being asked a simple, polite question by a Pakistani reporter:

“Hello Irrfan bhai, you have a great following in Pakistan. I wish you can sometime come to Pakistan. It’ll be a great pleasure.”

What followed was classic Irrfan—sharp, honest, and unforgettable. Without missing a beat, he replied with a straight face:

“Main aah toh jaaunga, wapas aaunga ki nahi?”

(“I will visit Pakistan, but will I be able to come back?”)

The response, though short, struck a chord with many. In just a few words, Irrfan managed to capture the underlying fear and uncertainty that often surrounds cross-border relations, especially during politically sensitive times. The clip is now being widely shared across social media, with fans applauding Irrfan’s savage, no-nonsense attitude.

Anecdote From The Border – More Than Just a Clip

This isn’t the only memory fans are cherishing. In an old interview with The Lallantop, actor Shashank Arora shared a humorous anecdote from the sets of The Song of Scorpions, which starred Irrfan, Golshifteh Farahani, and himself.

According to Arora, Irrfan would jokingly ask him to come along to the India-Pakistan border during shoots—just to fly a kite! It was Irrfan’s way of finding levity in an otherwise tense reality. That blend of boldness and light-heartedness is what made him so loved and respected.

As emotions run high following recent events, the cultural divide between India and Pakistan has deepened once again. The Indian government has taken a firm stance. In a recent advisory, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting directed all OTT platforms and media streaming services to immediately remove all Pakistani-origin content.

Statement: “In the interest of national security, all OTT platforms, media streaming platforms and intermediaries operating in India are advised to discontinue the web series, films, songs, podcasts and other streaming media content, whether made available on a subscription based model or otherwise, having its origins in Pakistan with immediate effect.”
