Satyapal Malik responds on corruption charges, sends a message from Hospital bed

Former Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satyapal Malik hospitalized. Meanwhile, he broke his silence on the corruption allegations and has made a big statement on the Modi government and the CBI. He shared a post and claimed that he was implicated in the corruption that he had complained about.

Satyapal Malik said, “I am a farmer’s son and have always been honest in my political life by following the principles of late Chaudhary Charan Singh ji. He had informed Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the corruption in the tender for which he has been accused. Not only this, Malik said that he had also cancelled that tender, and this tender was done again after his transfer.”

Malik also mentioned his financial condition in his post. He said that he lives in a one-room house and is in debt. He challenged the CBI and ED to investigate his property and tell the public whether there has been an increase in it. Malik accused the government of trying to spread hatred against him among the Indians by making fake allegations against him. He said, ‘If you have the courage, then get the investigation done honestly, so that the truth comes out.’

On May 22, 2025, the CBI filed a chargesheet against Satyapal Malik and five others for alleged irregularities in the Rs 2200 crore civil works contract at the Kiru Hydroelectric Power Project. The case is related to the Chenab Valley Power Projects Private Limited (CVPPPL) project in the Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The CBI investigation found huge irregularities in the tender process. Malik had earlier claimed that he was offered a bribe of Rs 300 crore to approve the file of this project, which he turned down. This reaction of Satyapal Malik is a serious political message, which not only questions the investigating agencies of the government but also seems to be a symbol of the fight for democracy, transparency, and honesty.
